Friday, Jan. 11, in Melbourne
We got back to Helen's house in time for a blistering hot day (in the 90s and sunny). Helen and I looked for a pool to go to and settled on an indoor pool (a community center type pool) with TONS of kid stuff. It was absolutely incredible. There was a slide, three kid pools (warm, shallow), some splash-pad style water fountains, tip-up buckets ... I could barely get the girls out of the water! The promise of popsicles helped get them out, and we found some delicious vegan coconut milk-based mango and berry popsicles to enjoy with Helen post-swim. I was really impressed by a sign the community center's cafe had up: fair wage promise to their employees, and asking people to avoid going to places that don't make such a pledge.
Back to Helen's for a bath, dinner, and then to run around in the back yard.
You know, it’s so weird to wake up to this blog and realize your Friday is over, but mine is just beginning.

Hello and love to all! Especially A and H.
The popsicles sound amazing! That pool also sounds pretty amazing!
