Jan. 14 - Melbourne

We've been here a week!

The girls have become very used to opening up the house blinds first thing. And then closing them again when the morning starts to heat up! Today's weather called for 100 F / 40 C degree weather so we buttoned up the house pretty quickly. S made a card to tape to the outside of daddy's gift bag. It was a list of "some of the fun things we'll do with daddy." She was quick to correct my "the fun things" with "some of the fun things"!

We headed back to the Wetsuit Warehouse to get stinger suits for me and G, after I read that stingers (jelly fish) are up in Broome. We picked them up and then headed to another indoor swimming pool. This one was in East Bentleigh and was HUGE. And so so so busy, it being extremely hot and school holidays still. It was rather overwhelming but the girls still and a great time. We had lunch there after swimming for almost 2 hours. Then we got dressed and the girls chose Cornetto ice creams - their first ever!

We came home to Helen's after a car nap / grocery store run to find a hot house. The laundry out on the line was dry, of course! We had dinner then the girls took a bath and then they ran around naked outside for ages to "dry off." We had dinner outside in the shade, which was lovely.

  1. I've never even heard of Cornetto ice cream! I'll have to look it up. Love the pics of Ii in her sunhat.
