Sunday, Jan. 13 - Melbourne

S & C finally slept until 7am as usual, though Ii was awake before 6. We played around the house for a while before taking a tram ride 2 stops to a fruit and veggie stand. We got so much fresh fruit: plums, raspberries, watermelon, papaya, white nectarines ... yum!

We then headed to a local dog beach to meet Jeremy, Lena and Moose again. We brought our sand toys from Portland, to wanting to have to buy new ones here and knowing we'd be spending a LOT of time on beaches. So the girls got right to it, digging in the sand. Moose enjoyed the game where they buried his ball and his dug it up!

We stopped for ice cream (again!) on the way home. C got banana again, Ii got cotton candy again ... and S branched out and got cotton candy instead of her normal vanilla! Then we played at Helen's house for a while before walking the half mile down the street to Anna's house for dinner, stopping to smell flowers on the way. She cooked a delicious vegetable dish and an absolutely phenomenal banana cake for dessert.

When we got home, S asked to make a list of "some of the fun things we'll do when daddy gets here." See if you can read them all!
